When you've microohone the drivers, did you download them from your computer manufacturer's official website and installed them manually? Have the exact problem, I can get by with a headset but I can no longer get the built-in mic to work I have the same laptop and have tried fixing it with the previous advice.

I was assuming the Skype update caused the problem, but it may well have been the Win 10 install. Upon attempting a Skype call I discovered while I had playback, none of my recording devices were working.
